Eye Makeup 2012: Revolution of colors
Posted on April 12, 2012 by Kristina in Beauty Tips
Clothes are not the only fashion trend that changes from year to year. Makeup is also a part of fashion. And this year, it’s all about color. Last year was big for the smoky eye look, and it is the same for this year also. The only difference is color.
Adding blues, whites, and even a hint of green will give your smoky eye look a slash of color that is a nice change from the original. Not to say black shadow will look outdated, but even using metallic grey will make your glam rock look even sultrier. Most women have their favorites when it comes to eye makeup, but trying out something different, you may find a new ‘go to’ shadow.

My ’go to’ would have to be a nice pearly white shadow. Applying it to the corners of the eyes will make them just open up. If I’m wanting something a bit darker, brown colors with a touch of brightness will do. There are lots of hot colors out right now, everything from richly pigmented cream eyeshadows, to bold colorful liquid liners.
Classic Smokey Eyes:

With so many new options this year, I can choose anything from a dark purple shadow with purple liner, or a dark metallic blue white a hint of green on the corners. With this year in eye makeup being about color, bold isn’t all I can do. I can lean more towards a soft pink shadow with an ivory liner. Soft colors that still “pop” are also something new in 2012. The possibilities now seem infinite.

Since this year it is all about the eyes, and with so many new color choices, I don’t have to use a professional to look great. Now I can put even more emphasis on the eyes.
